A sparc page is your identity on the sparc.net domain. It is customizable and designed to be personalized. The sparc page has a “head shot” picture, whitepapers, article or media that you have posted as your own. In addition the sparc page has links to your contact circuit where other users you have invited onto your sparc can page through and discover who you know.
The sparc page also has other tools that illustrates all the common contacts your visitors know that you know as well.
Think of a contact circuit as a grid where you publish all the people you know or come in contact with during the course of a typical day. Each person on the grid is a registered user on isparc. Each grid represents an industry that the your contacts belong to. For example if one of your contacts is a real estate agent then you would place them under the real estate industry. You would also configure the rate of communication (daily, weekly etc) or how often you communicate with the contact which would determine which level of the grid the contact appears. In addition you can also represent the relationship you have with the contact. For example if the real estate agent recently sold your house then you would chose e “this person provides a good or service to me” from the pull down menu. This information would be color coded and placed next to the contacts picture on your grid. If you have contacts that are purely social then you could place them in their particular industry but qualify the relationship as “purely social”. For example if you have a friend that works as a judge for a local town but does not provide you with any type of legal service you would most likely put him in the legal industry and chose “purely social” in the relationship pull down menu.
There could be more than one color on the grid. For example the real estate agent that sold you your house could also be a customer of yours. In this situation there would be two colors next to the contacts picture. Contacts can also belong to more than one circuit.
A sparc page is the single most effective method on the internet today to maintain contact with all of the people you have come in contact with from both a professional and social perspective. It is also a great way to discover people that your contacts know or to rekindle business/social relationships with users you may have lost contact with. Once you configure your sparc page and begin inviting people on you’ll be asking yourself how you functioned with out one!
Think about it? Where else can you find a host of valuable tools and customization parameters that enable you to manage contacts and trade knowledge with your peers…all for free. Where on the internet can you create a customized identity with other professionals in the same or even different industries and quickly build your personal network Think of how many times you have asked your friends…do you know a good plumber or do you know a good investment banker? Or how about being able to put a name to a face. With isparc its as easy as logging in!
Make sure that when you configure your sparc that you go back to your other social network sites you are associated with and notify your user base that you have moved on to a more useful domain.
That’s not a question but let us address it anyway. Most social network sites let you post who you know and that is about it. If you visit you don’t know who knows who and how they relate. Your sparc identity lets you customize your identity and offers the tools you need to qualify, quantify and track all the people in your life.
You! Because not matter what industry you are in or want to be in you deal with people on a daily basis and our tools are your most effective way of communicating and managing those relationships.
The main intent of our site is to have our user base feel they cannot do business without their sparc. To this end we want to add as much value as possible to every square inch of your sparc page. If you have a company or individual that wants to promote themselves via your sparc then use the advertising frame. Think of it as a co-oped bill board where by the advertiser pays you to advertise on your sparc. We share in the revenue it generates and you and your contacts gain more and more expose on the sparc.net domain. It is a simple yet effective way to promote yourself and your company.
Yes, you must create a sparc yourself before you can be accepted by another sparc. This ensures that only serious users need apply.
Many people today have multiple careers or change careers and your sparc should represent that as accurately as possible. To that end you can configure a primary industry and multiple secondary industries, ensuring you have a sparc that truly represents you.
Our site offers a unique tool to upload email contacts from a host of different third party applications making it easy to email all your contacts and invite them to join.
Each contact circuit posts individual contact photos in the grid. The purpose of the grid is to illustrate who you know so that your invited users can quickly and easily identify people they know. If you use a full body photo image then the picture would have to fit into the grid and your contact’s face would be too small to recognize, defeating the intent of the contact circuit. There is room on your sparc to publish other photos but your “profile” picture should be taken from the top of your shoulders to the top of your head.
